Again Dubai is leading world in the new art of building innovation!
This has got to be the most wild design i have ever seen… a building that will be constantly in motion. These designs were released on Tuesday and look really wild. All i gottah say is that i will definately need to spend one night there.
Its all pretty kewl… 
Individual floors will be manufactured off-site as pre-fab units; they’ll then be strapped, one by one, to a central core that will house the building’s engineering systems. Both towers will generate their own electricity with wind turbines fitted beneath each floor. Hard. Core. The Dubai building will host 80 floors’ worth of mixed-use space; the top 10 floors will be occupied by luxury “villas” with private pools, parking— and the ability to rotate the entire floor to capture the sweeping vista of their choosing. The Moscow plan (pictured above) is still in its “conceptual phase,” though the building is likely to include 70 units’ worth of offices, residential and retail space.
Check out their high-res movie that shows how these buildings are planned to move and see the website about the whole project.In all practicality, these buildings will make the occupants motion sick when the building floor changes direction, but it will be wild to see how they deal with that. It is hard to believe that this is not a paramount concern for this design, and something tells me, they have a solution.

Revisiting Site Relational Graphs
(+1 rating, 1 votes) Loading ...Presidential Watch 08 website has a very interesting map of the relationship of a bunch of politcal bLog websites, and shows ALL of their relationship to eachother in the bLog-o-Sphere map. CLICK HERE to view.
It is would have been nice to be able to rotate and move nodes in the flash chart, that takes a while to load. Very, very kewl way to represent relationships, between sites. It wold be nice to be able to zoom in more easily as well… anyway - reminiscent of the GraphViz application ( see: 2007-02-08 ). In the meantime enjoy the idea.
