Nanogenerators Grow Strong Enough to Power Small Conventional Electronic Devices
November 11th, 2010
ScienceDaily (Nov. 9, 2010) — Blinking numbers on a liquid-crystal display (LCD) often indicate that a device’s clock needs resetting. But in the laboratory of Zhong Lin Wang at Georgia Tech, the blinking number on a small LCD signals the success of a five-year effort to power conventional electronic devices with nanoscale generators that harvest mechanical energy from the environment using an array of tiny nanowires.
Looks like tethering is not coming to the iPhone
June 22nd, 2010
Well it looks like Tethering is not coming to the iPhone, at leased not to my iPhone. I jut got off of the phone with AT&T and they gave me the run down. Not only do I need to give up my unlimited $30.00 a month package but to add tethering it will convert my account from a $30 plan to a $45 plan. This would be ok if it was unlimited, but as it stands I use a little less than 1gb of data per month on the phone. If I were to add tethering and connect my laptop to it, just email and web surfing would out me way over the limits. What is with these people and what do they think that they are accomplishing? They are offering a lame 1.2mb download speed and 500mb up, I currently get at leased 2mb down from Verizon on my 3g card and 1mb up. I think that this ATT thing is a total rip off. When will Apple give us someone else to work with.

Here is just what I was talking about below. Great marketing and event tool to get people engaged for upbeat tradeshow venues.
iBar – Largest Multitouch Touchscreen

This video is a little long, so I do not think that you need to watch the whole thing as it just goes on and on. The concept here is very cool and innovative for event marketing. As tradeshow booths and events try to capture and keep customers in a venue, this is something that would be both an attractor and something that would be that major attention grabber. Imagine putting imagery and color to this and put some really cool graphics that people could play with. A lot of coolness going on here.
Microsoft Surface – The Possibilities
January 18th, 2010
OK I know it is kinda like an ad for Microsoft. This product has a lot of potential and the opportunities are endless. I think that the cost is somewhat prohibitive at this point in time for real world implementation and I have yet to see a real bluetooth camera, but as our phones become more and more that tool I think that we might start to see something like this crop up in public spaces.
