Looks like tethering is not coming to the iPhone

Well it looks like Tethering is not coming to the iPhone, at leased not to my iPhone. I jut got off of the phone with AT&T and they gave me the run down. Not only do I need to give up my unlimited $30.00 a month package but to add tethering it will convert my account from a $30 plan to a $45 plan. This would be ok if it was unlimited, but as it stands I use a little less than 1gb of data per month on the phone. If I were to add tethering and connect my laptop to it, just email and web surfing would out me way over the limits. What is with these people and what do they think that they are accomplishing? They are offering a lame 1.2mb download speed and 500mb up, I currently get at leased 2mb down from Verizon on my 3g card and 1mb up. I think that this ATT thing is a total rip off. When will Apple give us someone else to work with.

Apple “MacBook Touch” MultiTouch Tablet Concept “iSlate”

As an Apple computer nut, OK I said it, and you must admit Apple has some really cool looking stuff. I am excited to look at some of these new tablet PCs that are coming out later this year. I think that it will all come down to price and features for me, because no matter which way you look at it this will be a second use computer unless it is 1900×1200 I could not deal.

With some of the new Sony, OLED flex screens that are coming onto the market this might become a really cools solution. I have been hearing a lot of buzz about the new Tablet PCs that are hitting the market and I am waiting with bated breath for the Apple announcement. This however would be something that might bring computing and a high end user to a new level. I am someone that works with Wacom tablets and graphics programs, web development, and love to work on my laptop almost non stop. This would even give me the built in carry bag, the one thing that I can never have enough of. I am always in search of a new bag for my laptop. A lot harder to find for a 17″ MacPro and still have it look cool. Check it out.

Mobile Drive by activation through the use of text message. Today users are wanting more and more information quickly and on devices that are ready to use in the moment. With the advance of cellphone platforms such as Apple’s iPhone and Windows Mobile people are able to receive information pushed to them anywhere any time. Such as in this video where people are able to opt-in to receiving a text message about the properties as they drive by. Great use of a simple cellphone activation. At MindActive we have similar mobile activation platforms that allow the user to activate and opt-in to promotions by using their cellphone as the platform and delivery mechanism.
