Sony Flexible Full Color Video Screen at CES

These were showcased at the last CES in Las Vegas, this technology is getting bigger and bigger, the last time I saw them they were 22 inch screens and should hit the market this year 2008. I would see application for these on poles, in very dynamic signage opportunities and installations. Check out this video.

Shirts that light up. Check out this cool new technology Philips showcased at IFA 2006 in Berlin. It was amazing! They are Lumalive textiles that make it possible to create fabrics that carry dynamic advertisements, graphics and constantly changing color surfaces. Lumalive fabrics feature flexible arrays of colored light-emitting diodes (LEDs) fully integrated into the fabric – without compromising the softness or flexibility of the cloth.

Mobile Drive by activation through the use of text message. Today users are wanting more and more information quickly and on devices that are ready to use in the moment. With the advance of cellphone platforms such as Apple’s iPhone and Windows Mobile people are able to receive information pushed to them anywhere any time. Such as in this video where people are able to opt-in to receiving a text message about the properties as they drive by. Great use of a simple cellphone activation. At MindActive we have similar mobile activation platforms that allow the user to activate and opt-in to promotions by using their cellphone as the platform and delivery mechanism.
